Stela Garden Villas is an hour's drive from Ayala Center Cebu City; 40 minutes from Mactan Int'l Airport. Coming from the city of Cebu, after Liloan, less than a kilometer after the large red road banner "welcome to Compostela" - turn left at that small corner between RUSI motorcycle bike shop and Cheerrey's Bakeshop. About 700 meters from that corner is Stela - Past a tree house, then a small enterprise making hollow blocks . We are at the end of that Barangay road.

Our Story
This 4,000 sq.m. property is our parents' private garden. In 1963, as newlyweds, our parents, Lina and Armando, who are true-blue Cebuanos, moved to Mindanao to manage the family farm in Bukidnon. There, they discovered their shared passion for all things flora. In fact, they named their youngest daughter "Mitos" after she was born during a bountiful and successful tomato harvest (“to-Mitos”—yes, Dad had a sense of humor, too).
In 2010, when our parents were already in their seventies, they began tending to this little slice of rural heaven in Compostela, planting all sorts of trees, plants, and bushes. One of Dad’s favorite stories about their tree planting is about the jackfruit tree (langka) from Thailand. He visited Thailand on a business trip with his partners, and after tasting a delicious Bangkok variety of langka, they decided to pocket some seeds. Dad planted his stash, and today, those seeds have flourished now into fruit bearing langka trees on the property. This variety is truly special: it’s very sweet and has a crunchy flesh, unlike the local variety that can be too soft and chewy. As a funny aside, Dad told us that only his batch of langka seeds survived—his business partners’ seeds failed to propagate. He has since given them several saplings of this amazing jackfruit tree from Thailand. In their twilight years, Mom and Dad spent many weekends here, savoring the serenity of the garden and finding joy in watching their beloved plants and trees thrive and grow tall and strong.
Dad passed away on January 25, 2022, a month after the devastation of Typhoon Odette. Our property was not spared; several fruit trees were uprooted, and the walls came tumbling down. After Odette, we rebuilt the walls, decided to add a family-room type villa, and upgraded the existing ones. We made the critical decision to open the property exclusively to small groups of friends, work colleagues, and families who wish to relax in peace and quiet, not too far from the city. In this garden, you can discover and try to identify various fruit trees: breadfruit, pomelo, avocado, kaimito, langka, chicos, macopa, mango, guava, duhat, tamarind, atis, pomegranate, banana, Spanish plums (siniguelas), and papaya. Take in the sight of the tall and mighty forest trees that Mom is very proud of: Narra, Molave, African Talisay, native Talisay, Balete, and Golden Shower. Marvel at the beauty of the elegant foxtail palm trees that surround the pool; the McArthur palms and coconut trees thriving around the perimeter of the property; and the palmeras that line the steps up the hill where the villas and tennis court are located. These palmeras would later inspire the logo of our brand.
We named our parents' garden "Stela," an abbreviation of the name of this municipality: CompoSTELA. We Cebuanos are very fond of abbreviating words; for example, the word "balay" (house) becomes “ba'y,” or “dala” (bring) is shortened to “da-h.” For now, the resort offers only three ensuite bedrooms, built like small villas—hence the "Villas" in the name of our resort. We labeled the three Villas “A,” “S,” & “G” after Dad's initials, as he was fondly called ASG at the office.

PET-FRIENDLY HOUSE RULES
We welcome well-behaved, house-trained dogs and cats. Only one pet per room isallowed. All pets must be fully vaccinated and flea-free.
1). In Your Room. Please do not allow pets on beds or furniture. Pets must be crated if left unattended in the room. Best that you put the crate outside the room by the patio. You are responsible for any damage or extra cleaning caused by your pet.
2). In the Garden. Pets must be on a leash at all times in outdoor spaces. Please clean up after your pet. Please help us keep our gardens clean and peaceful.
3.) Around the Pool. For hygiene and safety reasons, pets are not allowed in and around the pool area. If you’re enjoying the pool, please ensure your pet is safely secured in your room or supervised by someone in your group.
SWIMMING POOL RULES
To ensure a safe and enjoyable swimming experience for all our guests, please observe the following pool rules:
Kindly shower and rinse off before entering the pool.
Take off your footwear.
No peeing on / in the pool, please use the restroom.
No pets allowed in the pool.
Children and non-swimmers must be accompanied by a guardian who is able to swim at all times.
The pool has a maximum depth of 5 ft (152 cm). Please refrain from diving and jumping into the pool.
Please use the stairs.
Please refrain from running and engaging in rough play on the pool premises. In addition, eating, drinking, smoking are prohibited in the pool. No glassware or bottles please.
Please be careful. There is no lifeguard on duty. The pool is your own private pool as our guests. Owners and management are not responsible for accidents or injuries arising from not following the above rules.
KITCHEN USE GUIDELINES
CLAY GO POLICY: “Clean as you go” at all times to ensure cleanliness of the kitchen. The resort is a huge garden nestled on the side of a hill. There will be insects especially ants. CLAYGO will ensure those pesky insects are kept at bay.
You have the option to lock the kitchen in the evening at bedtime.
Please have a good tour/ inspection of the gadgets, utensils and equipment at the kitchen upon check in. Please ensure that everything will be in place and in order upon check out.
While use of the outdoor grill is complementary, please bring your own charcoal and matches. Kindly clean properly / dispose of ash and embers after use.
Please let us know in advance if you will use the grill so that we will set it up.
Ice cubes in bags purchased outside: Kindly use the ice box / cooler provided at the kitchen to store these (located under the side table). Please do not store large bags of ice inside the small freezer of the refrigerator.
Drinking water. We will provide free of charge drinking water equivalent to two containers - one container at the kitchen and one at the pool pavilion. It is easy and inexpensive to have those containers refilled. Please request from staff on duty.
SMOKING ALLOWED IN DESIGNATED AREA ONLY
In accordance with Philippine laws, Stela Garden Villas offers a smoke-free stay. Please note that smoking is prohibited in all villas or guest rooms, on guest patios, and in guest pavilions, pool, and other public areas.
he designated smoking area is the parking area outside the gate of the resort which is still part of the property.
If smoking occurs in any of the villas or guest rooms during your stay, a Php 5,000 per room.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
CANCELLATION POLICY
Ten (10) days before scheduled booking (SB), downpayment is non-refundable.
Eleven (11) to twenty (20) days before SB, we refund 50% of the downpayment.
More than twenty (20) days before SB, we refund 90% of the downpayment.
Exceptions are considered in the following situations:
1) death in the family in case of a family gathering
2) fortuitous events like earthquake, super typhoon, or other calamities that affect the rendering of quality service to our guests
For any of the above reasons, 80% of the downpayment is refunded.
REBOOKING POLICY
Rebooking made 5 days prior to arrival date is free of charge, subject to availability and rate difference. Rebooking made 3-4 days prior to arrival date will be charged an equivalent to the cost of original booking (day use or one overnight stay).
Bookings may no longer be rebooked 2 days prior to arrival. Rebooking is only allowed once. Another cancellation shall forfeit refund of downpayment.
Rebooking is only valid for 3 months and subject to additional charges based on the current season rate or published rate whichever is higher.
NO-SHOW POLICY
Cancellations made on the day of arrival and/or No-Show are subject to a
cancellation fee equivalent to the entire duration of stay.
EARLY DEPARTURE POLICY
If guest shortens their length of stay upon or after check-in, a one night resort stay and tax will be charged to the guest.
CHECK IN / CHECK OUT POLICY
At check in, we request lead guest to present valid government issued ID to our staff on duty. You will be given the keys to the rooms and the kitchen at check in.

SECURITY DEPOSIT
For the Regular Rate Plan, a security deposit of P2000 is required upon check in payable in cash, online transfer, or GCash. This amount will be fully refunded at check-out, provided that all towels, linens and umbrellas are accounted for and the kitchen and other facilities pass inspection.
For the Rate Plan With Event a security deposit of P3,000 is required upon check- in, payable in cash, online transfer, or GCash. “With Event” refers to your hiring a caterer who will use our kitchen and bring equipment, tables and chairs to our property. This amount will be fully refunded at check-out, provided that all towels, linens, umbrellas are accounted for and the kitchen and other facilities pass inspection.
